the name is made out of pure laziness. theres this con that happens in Toronto every year called anime north so....mt-north, anime north, get it?
it would be amazing if members can advertise this little group so it can get enough people to do contests and stuff. also to join click 'apply to group' on the left hand side

if any of you follow Canadian politicts, recently, Belinda Stronach from the Conservative party defected to the Liberals. its been huge news cause its had a bunch or reaction from alot of people. and just when the minority government is in a complete mess. the Tories just lost a potential MP that could have voted for no confidence in the Liberals.
what is your opinion? (lol this is my attempt to start conversation ^^') also here's a weird website that the Liberals put up to attack Harper StephenHarperSaid.ca

Logo Contest - i made a temporary logo for the group but i think that this group could have a better one. the size of this logo max is 608 by 350. original works only pls. it must have something to do with Canada and it does not necessarily have to be anime. winning logo gets to replace MY logo!! upload them onto Minitokyo somewhere and PM the link to me. a THREAD will be created to vote for your favourite entry. also the entries will now be anonymous ^^' so pls try forget who the artist names are XD

Canada Day Works - yes i'm starting this very early because i know that groups are normally a bit slow in activity and contest submissions -.- winning submissions be featured links under an upcoming section. votes will be counted by favs. DUE: June 28, 2005
Wallpaper Category - must be original work. can be any resolution though a larger resolution is preferred. a Canadian theme must be prominent in the wall. can be anime themed or general. maybe some fireworks and stuff? WINNING SUB RECIEVES MOD STATUS, unless you are already a mod.....lol so funny....^^
it seems that the only submit for the wallpaper category has been deleted off of MT's servers o_O..so this contest is CLOSED until NEXT YEAR.
Indy Art Category - any CGed abstract art, grunge work or doujinshi. again, a Canadian theme must be present in the work. original work. self CGed anime is also acceptable.

the name is from some computer game that everyone used to play in elementary school...fun but weird XD but as the name says, it was a travel thing were you drive a car and go through different provinces and buy food...oO lol
i though it might be cool to have a section where certain MT works look like places in Canada...so group members could make a anime themed wall or a drawing that looks like a landscape from a province, ie plains - Saskachewan/Alberta/Manitoba
upload on Minitokyo somewhere and links would be posted in this section.
the idea's cheesy but hey i'm tryin here ^^;;; well hopefully people might do something about it....heh does anyone even read this stuff?

the main thing about canada is that its very diverse, a lot of different kind of people live here. if you're not canadian its okay to join still ^^ you won't lose your countries licsence or birth cert or anything like that. if anyone wanted to, you could also put down the country of origin in your post and i'll put it on the list here.
